From Texas-sized 2 Tiny House For Three

Just a little off the top….

I’m taking a break from painting the kitchen island to research RV certifications for tiny houses, and I came across a video that had me simultaneously laughing my butt off and realizing we could have very well been victims of this very bridge should we have decided to visit my aunt who lives in Durham, NC.

Needless to say, this video should really drive home just how important it is to know the dimensions of your tiny house when traveling on the road. The maximum allowable vehicle height is 13’6″ without a special permit, but as this video proves, not all bridges are compliant with the minimums let alone any special exceptions. The moral of the story is to pay extra, super-duper, crazy close attention to road signs while you’re traveling so you don’t unintentionally give your tiny house a permanent buzz cut!

So, to my dear Aunt Liss…. I really hope we don’t have to travel this road to come visit you! ❤
